Say Hello to the Snack Pals! Meet Wanda, Carlos and Kevin

The Snack Pals are here to make snack time smarter—and a whole lot more fun! Get to know three of the crew: Wanda Watermelon, Carlos Carrot and Kevin Kiwi. Each Pal brings their own playful personality and tasty benefits to the table.

If you’ve been hearing about the Snack Pals around your house (maybe from a certain enthusiastic little voice?), you’re not alone! These colorful characters are part of Hannaford’s mission to make healthy eating fun for kids—and a little easier for parents, too.

Today, we’re introducing three of the Snack Pals your kids will love to meet. Each Pal not only brings bold personality but also highlights the goodness of fruits and veggies. Ready to say hello?

Wanda Watermelon

Sweet, strong and ready for action!
Wanda is a juicy slice of summer fun. She’s all about being active—whether she’s leading a backyard obstacle course or racing her friends in a pool noodle relay. Watermelon is a hydrating, vitamin-packed treat that’s low in calories and big on refreshment. Wanda is always encouraging kids to stay moving and stay cool.

Snack Tip: Keep pre-cut watermelon in the fridge for a quick after-school snack that feels like a treat.

Carlos Carrot

The class clown with a heart of gold.
Carlos is silly, curious and always cracking veggie jokes. (What did the carrot say to the broccoli at the party? “Lettuce turnip the beet!”) Underneath the goofiness, Carlos is all about helping others. He knows that carrots are packed with vitamin A, which supports eye health—perfect for spotting new adventures on the horizon.

Snack Tip: Try pairing carrot sticks with hummus or ranch for a crunchy, satisfying snack.

Kevin Kiwi

Small but mighty—and full of surprises!
Kevin might be tiny, but he’s got a big personality. This fuzzy fruit is clever, enthusiastic and always asking questions. He loves science and dreams of being a food scientist when he grows up. Did you know kiwi has more vitamin C than an orange? Kevin’s packed with immune-boosting power—and he’s not afraid to show it!

Snack Tip: Cut kiwi in half and let kids scoop it out with a spoon—no peeling required!

Snack Pals Make Healthy Eating a Little More Fun

Whether your child connects with Wanda’s energy, Carlos’s silliness or Kevin’s curiosity, the Snack Pals help kids see fruits and veggies as fun, flavorful friends. Their playful personalities can turn everyday snacks into something kids get excited about—and that’s a win for the whole family.
